Before Thanksgiving 2024, a few friends pooled their money, ordered about thirty pizzas, and drove through Santa Ana handing warm boxes and bottled water to anyone who needed a meal. There was no plan and no checklist, just the urge to help. That afternoon became the seed of Kind Meals.

When the January wildfires forced families from their homes, a Long Beach meal-prep shop put out a call. More than thirty neighbors answered, filling U-Haul after U-Haul in a single day. We brought what we had and joined in.
